摘要

An inherent part of human nature is the necessity to classify and categorise. We feel the need to 'pigeon hole' items and make some logical sense of all the entities, which we observe and use. Classification can sometimes be a difficult process, especially when one delves into taxonomy; the science of biological classification. I had a chance to be a 'taxonomist' during my fourth year Honours project, the last stage of my Bachelor of Science degree, studying the native plant species Ajuga australis,commonly known as the Austral Bugle.
