Kyoto Institute of Technology launched KYOTO Design Lab, a new organization tasked with global innovation, in March of 2014. The graduate school's departments of architecture and design serve as its foundation. KYOTO Design Lab's programs will start from October with a focus on the invitation of overseas talent. Centered on European, US, and Asian universities that have been working with KYOTO Design Lab, the lab will invite top-notch overseas' researchers and students to participate in various teams.
