Left in its stagnant form for several decades, producing a miniscule one per centof the country's total milk supply, the dairy industry needs to have a "growth booster" from young, educated farmers nationwide to form the industry's nucleus, dairy expert Yaacov Kre-itzer, Israel's Minister for Agriculture noted. With milk and dairy products normally not included in the Filipino daily diet, particularly among those in the rural areas, the nutrition level in the country has also suffered.
