The Uttar Pradesh State Centre of the Institution organized a Workshop on 'Disaster Management - Towards Building a National Response System' under the aegis of Civil Engineering Division of IEI on March 8, 2014 at Lucknow. The Chief Guest, Padamshree Prof (Dr) R C Sobti, Vice Chancellor, Babasaheb Bheem Rao Ambedkar Central University, Lucknow, in his inaugural address, stressed on an individual's role in mitigating disasters and offering relief responses to the affected people.
