CAZRI Moth 2 reflected increase in grain yield by about 20.5,27.5 and 38.7% and grain protein by 33.1,11.6 and 25.7% over the check varieties RMO 257, CAZRI Moth 1 and Jawala, respectively. Average grain yield potential of this variety under rainfed conditions without fertility inputs has been estimated to 539.5 kg/ha. CAZRI Moth 2 takes 17.5 min.for cooking, whereas Jawala and RMO 257 take longer cooking time (22 and 26 win., respectively). Compared to CAZRI Moth 1, this variety appreciably depicted 26.5 and 44.9% less infections of yellow mosaic virus and root rot complex diseases.
