Mrs M.Bibi aged 36 yrs. 9th gravida attended Gynaecology OPD on 11.09.08 with complaints of pain lower abdomen and slight bleeding p/v following D&E on 10:09.08 (3 PM).On examination her general condition was poor, severely pale, pulse 98/min, B.P-100/70.P/A- abdomen was distended with infra umbiEcal tenderness. Bowel sound not audible. P/V - OS closed, uterus 6 S wks, tenderness in all fornices, no definite mass was palpable, bleeding trace. Provisionally diagnosed as uterine perforation with? gut injury. Urgent X ray abdomen (erect posture) revealed gas under the diaphragm.
