摘要

Turmeric is an important spice crop of India, which is generally planted from last week of April to first fortnight of May in north Indian conditions. During these dry and hot months, light and frequent irrigations are given in order to ensure propergermination, which also provide ideal condition for heavy weed infestation and thus weeds cover the ground quickly and compete with crop. The chemical weed control may be effective and economical under such condition but preemergence application of herbicides does notremain effective for season-long weed control. Thus, the present experiment was carried out to find out an effective and economic integrated weed control method for weed management.
