Slow initial growth, planting at wider spacing, congenial environment and long duration of maturity of pigeonpea invite a plateform to a wide spectrum of weed flora that set a stiff competition with crop resulting in yield loss varying from 30 to 40percent (Kundra and Brar, 1990). Keeping above facts in view, the present investigation was undertaken to evaluate the effect of sowing dates and weed control methods on weed management and productivity of pigeonpea in M. P.
