We read with interest the above article by S. Kamineni et al. We congratulate the authors for such a commendable study. However, we would like to raise the following points:1. Were the cadaveric specimens disarticulated through the scapulothoracic joint? If yes, this would have decreased the tension in the brachial plexus and the vessels.2. The author have fixed an intact specimen rather than a fractured one. The displaced fracture and haematoma alter the anatomic relations in real life and may show poor correlation to the cadaveric study.3. The authors failed to mention a similar study by Rowles et al.3 using the same pinning technique of Jaberg.14. Jaberg advised fixation of greater tuberosity fragment if displaced. Two pins were passed in retrograde direction through the greater tuberosity, engaging the medial cortex of the humeral shaft. It would have been interesting to know the anatomical relations of these pins.
