摘要

A comprehensive and an easy use computer program was developed to determine the farm energy requirement for the purpose of reducing costs and maximizing profit. The program includes a database composed of nine categories such as tractors, agriculturalmachinery, pumps and stationary engines. The program was designed with visual C++ language. It can be used in determining the farm energy requirement to assess the current status of farms, and for future planning of modern farms, and for educational purposes and consultation. The developed program has many advantages, such as ease of use and simple input through interactive windows, ease of addition or deletion or updating of databases, ease of exploring the program windows, and has the potential of future development of any part of the program. The uniqueness of the program is multi-dimensional use such as an evaluation of an existing system, and selecting new machinery based on optimum energy use. Most of information is available for other users asa database. The program was tested by comparing the results of the computer program with the manually calculated results, which showed that the program worked properly. The program was also used to determine required farm energy requirements for different operations on a sample farm.
