Its musical chairs at the top end of BrandZ's annual Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands study, but it seems that Toyota is playing the leadership grounds year in and year out. Toyota has been named the most valuable automotive brand in the BrandZTop 100 Most Valuable Global Brands 2013 report. The survey ranked brands using financial data and the views of current and potential customers. Toyota was valued at $24.5 billion (£16.2 billion), an increase of 12% on 2012. The rise in value was big enough for the Japanese car giant to overtake other automotive brands as the most valuable motoring brand. It's the sixth time in the eight years of the BrandZ report that Toyota has been ranked at the top of the automotive sector.
