摘要

This paper considers the development of block method for solving third order ordinary differential equations. The method is developed through multistep collocation approach where power series approximate solution is used as the basic polynomial. The properties of the block is established, that is zero stability, consistency, order and the region of absolute stability. The method is simultaneously applied to initial value problems and it was found better when comparison is made with the existing methods.
