The present investigation was conducted on available eight Sahiwal bulls maintained at A. B. Complex, N.D. R.I, Karnal to study the sexual behavioural traits during the period from February to May, 2000. The overall least squares means of temperamentscore (TS), libido score (LS), erection score (ES), protrusion score (PS), intensity of thrust score (ITS), reaction time(RT), dismounting time (DMT) and toted time taken in mounts (TTTM) were 1.21 +- 0.03, 6.30 +-0.14,2.90 +- 0.07, 2. 65 +- 0.05,2.98 +-0.09,13.36 +-1.50,2.58 +-0.11 and 45.53 +-5.40, respectively. Analysis of variance for above traits showed that the effect of bull was highly significant (P< 0.01) on TS, RT, TTTM and significant (P<0.05) on ES and PS. Remaining sexual behavioural traitswere not found to be significantly influenced by the effect of bull. In a further study on other sexual behavioural traits, 19.23 percent bulls showed Flehmen's response, 33.33 percent bulls showed act of licking vulva, 51.28 percent bulls required mounting stimulus, 41.02,37.17 and 16.66 percent bulls had taken one, two and three mounts respectively to donate semen during semen collection. The overall reuslts indicated that TS, LS.and RT could be used for selection of bulls for future breeding programme.
