摘要

Two experiments in completely randomized design were conducted on 12 Marwari kids and 28 Marwarilactating goats, respectively for a period of 180 and 120 days. Both kids and goats were divided into fourgroups, viz., supplemental standard animal feed in addition to 8-hrs/day normal grazing @ full dose(group-l), half dose (group-ll), one-third dose (group-Ill) and no supplementary animal feed (group-IV).Treatment had a significant (P<0.05) effect on average daily gain of kids and daily milk yield of lactatinggoats and it had no side effect on physiology of experimental animals. Economics of supplementaryfeeding to growing kids and lactating goats indicated that family labour income per kid (Rs 553.50) and perlactating goat (Rs 532.50) were highest in group-ll (K_2 and G_2) for the experimental period.
