The centennial of the birth of Evgeny Konstantinovich Zavoisky, pioneer of electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), which fell on 28 September 2007, was celebrated in Kazan by the "Zavoisky Week" from 23 through 29 September 2007. Among the celebrations were the ceremonial meeting, dedicated to this anniversary, the International Zavoisky Award ceremony to Prof. B. M. Hoffman (Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, USA) and the International conference "Modern evelopment of Magnetic Resonance" (Zavoisky 100).
