摘要

Development of heavy industry moved the composite science to make strong materials against various forms of damaging tensions and impacts. Fibrous structures have got new application in the modern technical textiles such as seat belt and packaging fabrics. In this study ultra high tenacity nylon 6.6 yarns used in manufacturing of weft knitted fabrics. The mechanical properties of the sample fabrics are assessed to investigate effect of different structures of fabric on those of mechanical properties. The results show that the weft knitted ultra high tenacity fabrics with rib structure have a superior strength in comparison with other structures, yarn fold and sample of common belt. This could have economical advantages as well which in here would be a good alternative for the common belts and even packaging fabric.
