"Inviting looks, worldwide success" -that is the slogan used by Swoboda Karosserie & Stahlbau GmbH, the Austrian ropeway cabin engineering company, for its attractive range of products. The company recently invited ISR to take at look at its production plant in Oberweis, Upper Austria. "The first Swoboda ropeway cabin left the plant back in 1956," says General Man-ager Robert Vockenhuber. Today the com pany's main focus is on ropeway carrier en gineering with a product portfolio that in cludes gondolas as well as cars for aerial tramways, funiculars, inclined elevators and people movers. In addition to their series production gondolas, Swoboda have made a name for themselves with exciting cus tomized solutions such as the revolving cab ins for the new reversible in Malcesine on Lake Garda, Italy, the cars for the Schloss- berg funicular in Graz, Austria, or the cab ins for the Piz Sella reversible in Gioden in South Tyrol.
