Crude oil traded lower Wednesday as bearish US inventory numbers continue to drive weakness in prompt Nymex futures relative to Europe's Brent benchmark. The January Nymex contract lost $1.77 at $76.60 per barrel, while January Brent on ICE Futures shed just $1.47 to $77.88/bbl. US crude inventories climbed 2.1 million barrels during the week ended Nov. 27, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported.
