India's Reliance Petroleum plans to start exports from its giant new Jamnagar refinery this month. "All processing units will be ready in the next few days," refinery division chief P. Raghavendran said in New Delhi on Thursday.Reliance started processing crude at the 580,000 b/d export refinery in western India on Dec. 25. Together with Reliance's existing 660,000 b/d refinery, it has made Jamnagar the largest refining hub in the world (IOD Dec.29,p2). The plant will sell gasoline, diesel and jet fuel to the US, Europe and Africa. Raghavendran refused to be more specific about destinations.
