EOC Ltd has awarded Keppel Shipyard a US $74.9m contract to convert a floating production, storage and offloading unit for the Chim Sao development offshore Vietnam. Under the deal, Keppel Shipyard will convert a 168,000 deadweight tonne Suezmax oil tanker into an FPSO that can produce up to 50,000 b/d of oil and have a storage capacity of 680,000 bbl of oil.
