摘要

"Stepping up to the challenge" was the theme of the 84th national conference of the Electric Energy Society of Australia (EESA) recently held at the Hilton Hotel in Brisbane. This event has been the highlight of the EESA 2008 calendar. The conference was an historic event for the EESA as it was the first time the conference has been held in Queensland. The outstanding success of the conference was due entirely to the Queensland chapter organising committee consisting of Lawrie Cleary (Queensland Chapter Chair- Ergon), Greg Bartlett (Conference Chair - ENERGEX), Mark Fallon (Jemena), Ross Grainger (Connell Wagner), Mark Hibbert (Connell Wagner), Marius Jansen (Areva), Rowan Kendell (Ergon), Ian Nichols (Transfield), Kevin Nuttall (ENERGEX) and Ben Prinsloo (Nu-Lec). Special thanks also to Anthony Bordignon of I AM EVENTS.
