In the wake of e-commerce and disappearing borders, international standards have become a significant element in an increasing number of trade agreements-and Canada wants a piece of the action.The Standards Council of Canada recently unveiled a new strategy for the National Standards System (NSS) to map out the standardization measures and priorities necessary to keep Canada competitive in the changing international marketplace.
