To echo the United Nations Environment Programme's 2015 World Environment Day event, on 30 May 2015 EPA Minister Kuo-Yen Wei, the Magistrate of Yilan County Tsung-Hsien Lin, and legislators Chiu-chin Tien and Ou-Po Chen arrived together at Neicheng Community in Yilan County to participate in the Cherish the Earth and Living a Green Life in Yilan event. As a part of the activities they all left a handprint symbolizing their pledge to "Cherish the Earth and Consume with Care." Minister Wei took the opportunity to urge the public to think carefully about their consumption choices and to manage resources appropriately so that our resources can be used sustainably.
