london—While demand for blueberries is strong in the US and the UK, for the time being it is small in mainland Europe. But in markets such as Germany and the Benelux, that could be about to change.The market for blueberries is very exciting. We've had growth of around 16-17 per cent in the UK for about three years and we're starting to see a very similar pattern in mainland Europe. Blueberries in the UK have a very different profile from the restof the soft fruit category because they are far less seasonal. They also now outsell raspberries and are second only to strawberries.
