adana—The list of challenges facing Turkey's citrus suppliers is a lengthy one, with regional insecurity and Russia's ban proving the most damaging.Since the end of November, Turkish citrus exporters have not had it easy. Warand instability have flared up in the surrounding region, disrupting transport routes and forcing the country to absorb more than 2.5m refugees. Meanwhile, Russia's ban on many Turkish items has meant the near-disappearance of the country's biggest buyerof fresh produce. As if that weren't enough, many growers have equally suffered a week of heavy frost during peak season.
