The success of the region's 'Clean Agriculture' campaign has positioned Murcia as one of the top two Spanish agriculture export communities. Murcian fresh produce is becoming increasingly recognised for its quality and safety standards, according to Antonio Cerda, Agriculture and Water Councillor at the Regional Government of Murcia. "The climate of our region, located in the southeast of Spam with a coastline stretching over 200km, means Murcia can produce a vaiied range of fresh and natural fruitsand vegetables," Mr Cerda tells Eurofruit Magazine. "Murcian growers follow strict nacional and regional policies to ensure our products are grown in compliance with globally-accepted standards as well as the natural environmental."
