CdS and CdSe nanoparticles were prepared in situ using microphase separated block copolymers as templates.For this purpose poly(sulphonated styrene-block-tert butylstyrene)(SPS-PTBS)copolymers were synthesized by sulfonation of styrene-block-tert-butylstyrene copolymers.The latter materials were prepared by ani-onic polymerisation high vacuum techniques.Block copolymers having the same nature of blocks in different ratios were used.Several hybrid composites of CdS and CdSe nanoparticles embedded in SPS PTBS matrices were prepared in situ from DMF or THF solutions of the polymers,using cadmium acetate,Cd(Ac)_2,as the cadmium precursor as well as tH_(10)acetamide and H_2Se as the sulphur and selenium sources,respectively.The nanostructured organic!inorganic hybrid materials were characterised by ultraviolet-vis and photoluminescence spectroscopy.The influence of physicochemical parameters of the system on the properties of nanoparticles was investigated.
