摘要

Falls are a major public health problem among the elderly population. Approximately 28-35% of the community-dwelling elderly population over the age of 65 fall each year . Falls lead to reduced levels of independence and poor quality of life -Moreover, 24% of community-dwelling elder adults sustain serious injuries from their falls , and half of older adults' injury-related hospitalizations are related to falls .
