The Geography Teachers’ Association of New South Wales (GTA) is a not-for-profit, incorporated body that represents the professional interests of Geography teachers in NSW and Geographical Education more generally. The objectives of the Association are to promote the study and teaching of geography in schools by: ? providing professional learning opportunities for teachers of Geography; ? advocating the interests of Geography teachers on matters in the State and National interest; ? providing forums where teachers of Geography and the wider community can exchange views; ? supporting Geographical Education through the development and dissemination of geographical resources; and ? promoting geographical research and fieldwork.
