Central to the leading role bpi.visqueen has been able to take in this evolution of cement packaging is its Ardeer, Scotland facility. This site has recently undergone an 18 month, 12m UK pounds (Eurol3.7m/ 19.5m US dollars) investment programme, a move that has transformed it into a genuine global centre of excellence for cement packaging production. "bpi.visqueen has been a leading manufacturer of pallet shrinkwrap, pallet stretch hoods and high-strength sacks for the cement sector for many years" explains Roy McAdoo, Commercial Director at the business. "However the investment at our Ardeer facility has taken our capabilities, both in terms of overall production volumes and new product development, to a completely different level."
