After a day of closed-door Manufacturing Technical Committee (MTC) meetings on the Sunday (including a presentation of the PCA Spring Forecast by PCA chief economist Ed Sullivan, as published in Global Cement Magazine's May edition), the exhibit hall opened to a relatively slow start, but picked up tremendously for the rest of the conference. Housing almost 120 companies and open for three days of the five, the exhibit area gained in popularity over the course of the event, drawing a good crowd of equipment suppliers, consultants, researchers, engineers and cement manufacturers. And when the exhibits closed, the hospitality suites opened. 36 companies played host in rooms scattered about the resort, offering plenty of opportunities for socialising, eating and drinking.
