Petkim's 60,000 tonnes/y carbon black plant at the Yarimca petrochemical complex is the only carbon black plant in Turkey.Last year,as part of its privatization programme,the Turkish Government held an open tender for the sale of its 51% majority shareholding in Petkim.The deadline for final bids was 15 June 2007 and the winning bid was 2.05 bn,submitted by TransCentralAsia Petrochemical Holding(TCAPH of Kazakhstan).
