In order to retain market share in the face of increased competition from other categories, resilient flooring manufacturers are focusing on raising the performance bar to complement their products' already strong visual and design appeal. "Congoleum promotes its technological advantages as strongly as its product fashion," said Liz Charbonneau, vice president of marketing for the Mercerville, N.J.-based firm. "We know from continually taking the pulse of the consumer that fashion - color and style - rule the world of interior design, but that's not enough."
