Total investment of around ￡1 5m is centred around a 350m long line comprising a Linck profiling line integrated with Springer handling and sorting technology. A new sawshop has been included in the building, equipped with Vollmer's top-of-the-rangeCHD251 R2 for precision grinding of the circular profiling/cutting sawblades and a Reform knife grinder for the chipper-canter blades. The building is sited between the former 'No 1' mill it replaces (at one point there's a gap of only a couple of feet between them) and the secondary processing units. It's not hard to see the logistical nightmare of keeping the existing mills running while construction activity split the site.
