摘要

The C_(60) group is an excellent acceptor unit in photoinduced charge separation processes. Not only does the C_(60) chromophore promote efficient photoinduced charge separation, but it also helps stabilize the resulting charge separation state to charge recombination. It achieves this feat through a combination of a small reorganization energy and symmetry effects. The attachment of C_(60) to rigid, (quasi)symmetric systems is particularly effective in producing efficient charge separation devices.
