摘要

With globalisation, international trade has become ever more important. Multinational companies need to do business and carry out research and development in a wide variety of languages. This gives accurate translation, a very skilled activity, a vital role in communication and, therefore, makes it a direct concern to those responsible for the management of information.The translation market is currently growing at a staggering rate of 13% ayear. This rapid rate of growth results in an increasing demand for content, a push towards a decreasing price per word, and most significantly, greater reliance on technology, including machine translation.
