The recent South Staffordshire Training Association Trainee of the Year Awards were held at Sandwell College (Oldbury Business Centre) and attended by more than 80 people including many local leading industrialists, Sandwell College, Wolverhampton College. Black Country Learning & Skills Council, Institute of Incorporated Engineers, Award Winners and their parents and friends. Local MP Adrian Bailey. Member of Parliament for West Bromwich West, was the guest of honour presenting some 11 prizes with each trainee receiving a unique metal trophy together with prize money donated by sponsoring local companies.
