Drofessor Zhongyung Fan is Professor of Metallurgy and the founder and current Director of Brunei Centre for Advanced Solidification Technology (BCAST) at Brunei University. He is the principal investigator and director of the EPSRC Centre at the University. To date, the centre has received ?11.5 million funding and is regarded as a national centre of excellence in liquid metal engineering. Zhongyung is also the principal investigator and director of the EPSRC funded national programme Towards Affordable, Closed-Loop Recyclable Future Low Carbon Vehicle Structures (TARF-LCV), which has received funding of ?4.5 million.
