The still low tonnage base of active projects in the global large-diameter market(noticeably outside Russia and North America) is meaning that Turkish largediametermills are becoming increasingly competitive in their price offeringsfor large-diameter linepipe. From a price perspective, MBR believe that manyof these mills could challenge Indian and Japanese mills in the internationalmarket. Although in LSAW, for which there is currently only one producer, Turkeystill probably needs more project references to be approved by many IOC/NOC ininternational projects to complete successfully. As can be seen by the chart, todate Turkish LSAW exports were largely focused on Iraq through until early 2014,this is now changing as Iraqi demand collapses - with Egypt and Romania morerecent exports markets along with a little to the UK.
