On 12th October, Nord Stream 2 AG pipeline consortium accepted applicationsfrom linepipe producers for a pipeline tender. The total weight of the tenderedlinepipe is 2.2 Mt of LSAW which would be used for two lines, both 1,224 km inlength and with estimated value of around $3 bln. The new pipelines wouldfollow the same route as the first Nord Stream pipeline from Russia to Germanythrough the Baltic Sea. The Nord Stream pipeline is currently the longest offshoreexport gas pipeline in the World. Nord Stream II is scheduled to be completed by2019.
