Recently, Abbas Rouholamini Gugheri published an interestingFibonacci congruence, which he discovered when he was a teenager: F_(φ(m)+n) ≡ F_n (mod m/d), where φ denotes Euler's phi-function (see reference 1) and m=a~2-a - 1,d = (2a - 1,m), a ≥ 2 is an integer, and (x, y) denotes the greatest common divisor of the integers x and y (see reference 2). In this article, we extend this congruence to Pell numbers, and then to Lucas numbers and Pell-Lucas numbers, denoted by P_n, L_n, and Q_n, respectively.
