Hydroelectric power plants are operated around the world to produce clean energy that contributes to the prevention of global warming. Drawing on long-term know-hows relating to rotating machineries and hydroelectric power generation, Meidensha Corporation has delivered many hydro turbine generators to Japanese and overseas customers. These generators are still being operated today. For structural reasons of the generating system, this time a vertical Francis type turbine and generator delivered to the Nogawa No.2 Power Station had to be installed one by one starting from the lowest section while coordinating with the civil engineering work for the structural facilities of the power station. This construction work accompanies the installation of a variety of ancillary facilities such as power transmission and receiving equipment and remote supervision equipment for the hydroelectric power station.
