Melting furnaces jsing electricity, gas,oil or coal are employed in many areas of foundrypractice as bale-out or tilting furnaces. Coal,however, is rarely used today as a source ofenergy. The following paper presents the latestfindings in the field of high performance meltingfurnaces. Particular attention is paid to theproductivity and product quality of electric and fuel-fired melting furnaces:
