The 2012 PCMIA/SME annual joint meeting was held on Oct. 25-26,2012 in Canonsburg, PA. The meeting presented a great opportunity for many professionals and students involved in the mining industry to attend technical sessions and to network with their peers from different mining operations and regional universities. The joint meeting was structured to allow professional engineers to obtain professional development hours for their attendance and to allow students time to interact with vendors and professionals. The annual meeting had an impressive attendance of 327 attendees, including 59 students. A few members of the Young Leaders Committee (YLC) and YLC alumni in the Pittsburgh area also attended.
