The Mineral Information Institute (Mil) held its 2004 annual meeting in Denver, CO in August. Public education is an important goal of the organizations represented by Mil's board of directors. So, a Directors' Education Forum featured presentations by 15 directors on their companies' community outreach and K-12 education programs. Carl Mojta, with U.S. Borax in California, had proposed the forum at a previous Mil meeting and chaired this year's special program.
