Despite an increase in the price of molybdenum, the re-opening of Freeport-Mc-MoRan's Climax Mine in Leadville, CO will remain on hold.Freeport-McMoRan announced plans to bring the mine back into production two years ago. However, those plans were shelved when the price of molybdenum collapsed as the global economy entered recession.
