One result of the runup in commodity prices the past several years has been the availability of investment money for exploration, new mine development and expansion at existing ones. There really was quite a bit of money available to mining projects before several global economies began paying for their past sins in October. Since then, credit and investment dollars have pretty well dried up. Despite the meltdowns and the events leading up to them, many mining companies were able to bring new projects into operation. And each new project has its own story as to how the mine has made life better for the nearby com-muities. Frontera Copper, of Phoenix, AZ, is one of those companies and it has its own story.
