An application by Mr Skippy Ltd to use a redundant barn as a waste transfer station at Earl Stonham was refused in January by Suffolk CC. Annual throughput would be less than 25,000t including aggregates. The applicant failed to demonstrate that the proposed waste handling could be contained within the building. Timsbury recycling facility R F Salvidge Farms Ltd sought to operate an inert waste recycling facility at Bunny Lane landfill site, Timsbury, near Romsey, ancillary to the infilling and restoration of Hunts Farm Quarry. It was recommended that Hampshire CC grant permission in March to be ancillary to Hunts Farm Quarry only. It was proposed to import up to 750t a day and to recycle 75 percent of this for secondary aggregates and soils.
