摘要

Soil aggregates are conventionally considered as an important diagnostic index determining many essential parameters of soils, including the microbial transformation of organic matter (OM). The well established concept of the agronomically valuable soil structure implies the optimum state (size) of soil aggregates ensuring a favorable water-to-air ratio in the root-inhabited zone and the maximum mineralization of soil organic matter as a source of the mineral nutrition of plants. In these terms, aggregates can be considered as an important element determining the intensity of biogeochemical cycles of biophilic elements, primarily of carbon and nitrogen, whose microbial transformation products"CO_2, CH_4, and N_2O (the so-called greenhouse gases) actively participate in biospheric processes [1].
