摘要

Two new vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal species, G. multiforum and G. verruculosum from northwestern Poland are described and illustrated. G. multiforum produced spores singly in soil. Its spores are deep yellow to brown, either globose to subglobose and (170-)215(-230) 鎚 diameter or ovoid and 150-220 X 180-310 鎚, with a single wall consisting of 3 layers. The outermost layer is mucilaginous, hyaline and stained reddish in Melzer's reagent. In young spores, the next layer is hyaline and ornamented with in-growths filling the pits of the innermost layer, and it sloughs with spore age. Layer 3 is laminated, coloured and ornamented with evenly distributed pits. G. verruculosum formed spores singly in the soil. Spores are yellow to orange and (150-)189(-265) 鎚 diameter. Their single wall consists of a hyaline, semiflexible outer layer and a yellow to orange, laminated inner layer ornamented with warts projecting inward from the innermost lamina. None of these layers stained in Melzer's reagent. G. multiforum and G. verruculosum formed spores and vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhizas in single-species pot cultures with Plantago lanceolata and Sorghum sudanense.
